samoa1-apia-seipepa

Monday-Thursday, 4-7 March 2002. I arrived in Samoa and stayed at a place called Seipepa in Apia: one of the best backpacker++ accomodation places I've ever seen. Charming staff, a good variety of residents -- not just backpackers there for a few days, but also med students and the like spending several weeks in town. On the first day I went to Palolo, swam and hung out on the beach -- I'm very white. Scary white. Used, minty-green chewing gum white. The next day I went swimming at Aggie Grey's and then to the market, with some guys from the hostel; we cooked that night. Van came into town and we rented a car and took off to visit her host family.
