Wednesday, 13 March 2002. After Van came home from school, we got in the car and drove down to the marketi at Saleloluga, and then on round to the Tagablowholes. They're holes in a cliff a few meters above the sea: when big waves come in, shafts of spray are blown up the holes, up to perhaps seven meters high. The old man and the boy in some of the photographs are locals; at the right time, you throw a coconut into the blowhole and watch as its blown out by the spray.
